My blog name is HawkEye. I was raised in the in the suburbs outside of St. Louis, Missouri. For the Liberty Preservation Alliance, I will embrace a strong conservative libertarian view of social and economic issues, and I will approach Constitutional issues as a strict originalist. If you are into titles, my results from this quiz label me as a “Libertarian-Leaning Conservative.”

I will regularly address issues concerning military, faith, and the pro-life agenda. Additionally, I’m a staunch supporter of the second amendment and will remain ever vigilant of all attacks against this important liberty explicitly guaranteed to Americans by our founding fathers. I am also concerned about the ever widening expansion of our federal government into our daily personal and business lives and the ever growing corporate and individual entitlement programs that undermine hard work and individual responsibility that are the bedrock of the United States. Socialistic governmental programs should be vigorously resisted when feasible.

I also favor an increase in funding for both our military and border control. The Clinton administration’s cutting of military funding has left our brave men and women in uniform underfunded and our country and her interests in a precarious situation vulnerable to attacks from enemy states and terrorists. The United States must have as a credible deterrent a military that as needed can combat enemy states including those who harbor terrorists intending to harm us. Reactionary operations are insufficient in an age where militant terrorists may acquire nuclear and biological weapons.

But it is not enough to just increase our military strength, we must also close enforce our borders and stop the flood of illegal immigrants that enter our country daily. I am an adamant supporter of immigration rights through legal channels. The strength of our country has been largely been built on our ability to incorporate multiple cultures into our republic. Our porous borders must be closed in order prevent easy access of terrorists into our country, and our immigration laws should be enforced as written. If additional immigration is desired, our laws should be updated to raise the immigration levels. And citizenship should only be permanently granted on the precondition that the new citizen has developed an adequate proficiency in English.
