Obama’s surrogate attacks McCain on military experience, Obama to give speech on patriotism, typical liberal BS, and more [updated]

It appears that the the rookie senator’s supporter and advocate retired General Wesley Clark, the same retired general who failed at his Democratic presidential bid in 2004 and who was fired by President Bill Clinton, has decided to attack Senator John McCain on his military record. Well once again that’s audacious, but hardly change that we should believe in. Is Obama orchestrating a smear campaign against a war hero. Pathetic. (Update according to Obama’s spokesperson no.)

Actually, I urge the Senator’s supporters to keep it up because it just amplifies Obama’s associations with terrorists (Bill Ayers), sleazy slum lords (Tony Rezko), anti-American rhetoric spewing pastors (Jeremiah Wright and Micheal Pfleger), and campaign workers involved in the disastrous Chicago housing project, Grove Parc, that Obama helped secure financing for as an Illinois senator.

And now for the old one-two punch, the rookie is preparing to deliver a speech on patriotism in my home state of Missouri. We’ll see if the main stream media heralds this speech like they did his “historic speech on race” where he was in the process of throwing his 20 year spiritual adviser, Jeremiah Wright, under the bus.

With his surrogates attacking McCain over his military experience, the senator’s supporters are insanely opening a Pandora’s box back on to Obama’s questionable associations and utter lack of substantial experience.

[Update 6/30/2008]
Little Green Footballs has announced that Wesley Clark has been thrown under the bus also. It sure is getting crowded under there. ;-)

Al Gore receives award for biggest environmental hypocrite and profiteer

In a media release from yesterday, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research points out that famed global warming fighter Al Gore is a blatant hypocrite for living in a house that they report:

In the past year, Gore’s home burned through 213,210 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power 232 average American households for a month.

I always thought that it made more sense to downsize into a smaller more efficient house after the kids have grown up for personal finance reasons. But wouldn’t the same make sense environmentally for a Global Warming fighter like Al Gore. Apparently not.

Ok, I’ll admit that stat is little misleading. It is comparing monthly stats to yearly and using the average household, whatever that is. But it’s fair to point out that Al has made tens of millions of dollars advocating for others to change their lifestyles but Al and Tipper have personally chosen to live in a huge old mansion in Nashville.

It’s also true that he has made some improvements to help curb his energy consumption. But the Gores can afford to make these improvements partially because they have proffitted so much off of Al’s movie, “An Inconvenient Truth.” The media release points out:

In the year since Al Gore took steps to make his home more energy-efficient, the former Vice President’s home energy use surged more than 10%, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.

Many will make the claim that this criticism is only coming from the right or global warming deniers, but according to an ABC article titled “Al Gore’s ‘Inconvenient Truth’? — A $30,000 Utility Bill” by Jake Tapper:

Gore is not the only environmentalist associated with “An Inconvenient Truth” who has come under fire for personal habits — and not all the criticism has come from the Right.

Writing in The Atlantic Monthly in 2004, liberal writer Eric Alterman criticized producer Laurie David for her use of private Gulfstream jets. David, he wrote “reviles the owners of SUVs as terrorist enablers, yet gives herself a pass when it comes to chartering one of the most wasteful uses of fossil-based fuels imaginable.” New Republic writer Gregg Easterbrook followed up, computing that “one cross-country flight in a Gulfstream is the same, in terms of Persian-Gulf dependence and greenhouse-gas emissions, as if she drove a Hummer for an entire year.”

How much money and fame has old Al made of his “An Inconvenient Truth” movie? Enough to consume well more than his fair share of energy. Way to lead by example there big Al!

Are Obama supporters already this desperate to change the topic? Introducing Marty Parrish and his incredibly desperate stunt!

As mentioned in the Conservative Pulse entry for today, a questioner pulled a stunt at a town hall meeting.

Well, it turns out that the idiot who asked Senator John McCain if he called his wife a “c#nt” is a liberal political operative who registered into the event as a reporter from the Huffington Post. The Gateway Pundit has excellent coverage of this pathetic saboteur. Unfortunately for him, Senator McCain handled his asinine attempt like a true pro.

His name is Marty Parrish and he worked for Senator Joe Biden’s failed campaign in Iowa. Here is what he has to say about his stunt:

I took no pleasure in repeating a disgusting word in public, on international tv.
Mathew 5:9
Marty Parrish

He states a filthy sexist derogatory word like that in public where women and children were present and he has the unmitigated gall to quote from scripture. Pretty Christ-like don’t you think? Downright pathetic.

Given Obama’s sinking poll numbers and Clinton’s resurgence, is this just a sign of the desperate attempts to come from Obama’s inexperienced “grass roots” proponents to shift the focus away from Obama who has had just a miserable month of March and onto Senator McCain? It seems that now that the main stream media’s love affair with Obama may have ended at least this Obama supporter had decided to go all weatherman underground on us and throw incendiary verbal bombs.

It was it was just downright stupid, now the media has a self declared Obama supporter using the “c” word in public as a cheap stunt. Thank you Marty. You’re helping the cause.

Of course if you do a search on Google, a number of left-wing bloggers are praising this cheap stunt, but should we really expect anything different?
